ESPN / THE LONGHORN NETWORK

I'm a firm believer in hitting the ground running...

As a creative, I think it is especially important to show an immediate and consistent impact to a company’s objectives. Within my first 2 months at ESPN, both my boss and another full-time employee moved on from the company. Consequently, I went from cutting out headshots to working on projects completely unfamiliar to me. My learning curve was steep, but I was able to learn and adapt to this new environment through working on real, concrete projects both independently and as a team. My largest project at ESPN consisted of assisting in the redesign of the new Longhorn Network look. By the end of my time at Longhorn Network, my responsibilities far exceeded my title as a Creative Services Intern. I became well-versed in controlling on-air segments like Longhorn Rewind, repurposing on-air segments for use on social platforms, and navigating the always tricky relationships between on-air talent and producers.
